Legacy and Pat Tull Memorial Scholarship Awards

NAWBO and the Riata Center announce the winners of the Legacy and Pat Tull Memorial Scholarship Awards

Legacy & Pat Tull Scholarship Award Winners NAWBO 2012OKLAHOMA CITY:  April 4, 2012 Dr. Terry Neese was awarded the Legacy Award and Julie Coffee received the Pat Tull Memorial Scholarship Award by the Central Oklahoma Chapter of NAWBO in conjunction with the Riata Center for Entrepreneurship in Oklahoma State University’s Spears School of Business during the Awards Luncheon at the Women Entrepreneurs (WE Inspire) Conference on April 4, 2012.

NAWBO, the WE Inspire Conference, and the Riata Center partnered to honor outstanding women small business owners. Dr. Terry Neese received the highest honor – the Legacy Award – which recognizes contribution and support for women entrepreneurs by an individual in the Oklahoma community.

Julie Coffee, High Impact Management, received the Emerging Business Award the Pat Tull Memorial Scholarship – which recognizes the contribution of a woman entrepreneur in business for less than two years who has demonstrated a commitment to growing her business.

The Legacy Award honors a woman trailblazer, who paved the way for women entrepreneurs in our state and nationally, while active in the community.  Dr. Neese is the first recipient of the Legacy Award. “I couldn’t think of anyone who epitomizes this award and what it stands for more than Terry Neese – as we pay tribute to her lifetime of outstanding contributions in mentoring women entrepreneurs in starting and growing their business and empowering themselves.”

The Emerging Business Award (Pat Tull Memorial Scholarship) is to recognize a woman entrepreneur just building a business. It provides her with a $1,000 scholarship to use toward the growth of her business, a membership in NAWBO and mentorship for a year. Julie Coffee is the second recipient of the Pat Tull Memorial Scholarship . Julie Coffee is an established professional with a well organized business plan and track record for success. She is actively involved in her community volunteering her time and talent.
