About Anita Baker: Anita Baker has been a member of Toastmasters International since 1994 and was recognized with a Distinguished Toastmaster Award in 1998. She has served in numerous communication and leadership roles within the organization including Club President, Educational Vice President, Vice President of Public Relations, Area Governor, Newsletter Editor, Mentor, Contest and District Conference Chair and was twice named “District 16 – Outstanding Toastmaster” as well as the District’s “Dedicated Toastmaster.” She has led several training workshops both at Club and District level.
She has served as a volunteer with the Arts Council for the past several years and was named Co-Chair for the OKC Storytelling Festival in 2012. She is presently a member of the Oklahoma City Tellers Guild and has made numerous presentations to community and civic organizations, schools and church groups on various topics.
Anita is a semi-retired Financial Consultant heavily involved with the care of two granddaughters, ages nine and 12. Her hobbies include ballroom dancing, storytelling, painting and writing.
