Oklahoma Women Entrepreneur NAWBO I recently came across this Tedx Video that features Mel Robbins (you can read her bio when you check out the video) and it really highlighted to me the big lie behind that popular movie and book “The Secret”. If you haven’t read it, or watched “The Secret”, I still suggest you do. There is a good message there. The one BIG omission that “The Secret” fails to point out is that to get out of life what you really want, you have to take action!

How many of you have sat back and waited for that special time to…say…leave your job to…or… start a business…initiate the next big idea you have. Whatever it is, if you are sitting on your heels, waiting for the right time, when actions you take will seem natural and comfortable…YOU ARE WASTING TIME! It won’t happen. The perfect timing rarely appears and when it does appear, it’s usually because of some unfortunate circumstance like getting fired or getting a divorce. I know this because I was there. I waited until I got fired from my big corporate job before I took the entrepreneurial plunge. In hindsight, all I did was waste time and end up leaving a great job in a really bad way.

The following video is a great message to all you who want to make something happen in your life, but are too “fine” to get going. We’ve all been there.
